Increasing the level when sampling internally

When you are recording a beat you've just made in the mpc4k, how do you increase the gain level of the main out input source.

When sampling external sources you just use the REC GAIN knob. However when sampling the mpc4k internally, this knob doesn't work.

Does anyone know how to adjust the level?
