i don't use Recycle anymore to chop....but never had that problem
why not just chop in the Sample Regions section. set your desired regions, put'em where you want'em and slice it!

You are SHOUTING with the caps bro!!!!!! And if you are using recycle with the mpc make sure you export the file as a akai program with the mid file if you want to play in a sequence. Also if you have more than 16 slices aka 16 pads it is natural for 24 to 32 slices to go to the next bank. It is most likely the user not knowing what`s up!!!!!! Check and recheck to see what you did wrong!!! I have recycle 2.0 and it took me a while to get the hang of it too. After you figured it out watch out for the next new user shouting six weeks from now how f****d up the program is.

recycle 2.1 supports 24/96, but when you export as akp it samples down to 16/48. this to maintain support for the s5000.

also Recycles exports the sounds where they are supposed to be. It is the mpc that has a weird layout.. If you hook up a keyboard to the mpc and play the keys from left to right, then everything will be in order.

Is that still the case if you set the pads to chromatic? I haven't booted up my music computer for a couple of months. i prefer another program called Zero Beat then recycle. It has the same
kind of function that the MPC has, where it lets you shuffle the regions or slice points.
So you can get some funky new rhythms from the same loop.

yup u can get the pads to work right by changing there NOTE value to:36 for pad 1 37 for 2, 38 for 3, all the way up to 51 for the first bank.

Its funny cause I emailed propellerheads about just this and they were unaware about the new models (z4/z8/mpc4000) supporting 24/96. And then when I asked them if they would add support for it they just said "we cant talk about future product updates" yadayada. But its funny to me that they didnt even know about the akp 24bit format. And they also had some statement on their site on how hw samplers are outdated and cant do much compared to todays software etc... so my guess is any new recycle version will focus on software sampler formats...

yeh me neither. I hate the fact that you cant decide the threshold. Recycle always cuts a part of my samples in the beginning. I hate this. If their was a way to select all the regions, devides at once and move them a bit to the left, it would be ok.

i use the grid so it chops perfect for me. U set it in edit i think, then u add slices at grid under tools. Then u have perfect uniform slices.
