Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000

As an MPC veteran I bought the new MPC4K last year to supplement my MPC3K. After several OS upgrades, now at 1.40, I have found that there are still a few bugs when the 4K reads 3K sequence files. Firstly, I have found that the transfer of the track velocity % parameter in the 3K sequence page does not carry over to the 4K, thus a sequence whose track velocity levels have been mixed, is ignored. A small price to pay perhaps, but still very annoying. However, much more disturbing, is that
I have found that any track that contains a piano sequence seems to cut some notes abrubtly with no sustain on those notes. Only a duration value of 1 in some cases. The problem only arises when the 4K reads and loads
3K sequence file. I noticed that this was also a problem with both the 2K and the 2Kxl. Is anyone else aware of these small niggles or am I missing something here. I have over 600 sequenced songs and I would estimate at least a third have pianos in them. Don't think I could bear having to re-sequence that lot again. Your comments would be appreciated. PS. Any one got news of the new OS?
