I'm using a motif es rack and its really annoying me cus this problem that used to happen on the older o.s. seems to be back but this time only for midi... in song mode, or using next sequence there is a delay between sequences, the midi cuts out for the first beat of each bar in the sequence when it changes...

i turned the "Reset Qlink and controllers on seq change" to OFF because I had the same problem back when i first got the mpc 4k and it would do that then also....and that was the solution to it... what the hell is goin on... i got the latest o.s. installed this is really annoying, anyone got any suggestions?

Are your sequences all using the same Multi or are they doing program changes to call a Multi? In OS 1.70, I have NOT seen anything like you have described. I'm able to not only use Next Sequence to switch song, but if the new Sequence calls a new Multi - there is no delay at all in regards to the sequence change and the entire Multi change.

Care to share your 2 sequences and Mulit/Program/Samples that are doing this to see if it's reproducible on another machine.

Maybe you're sending program changes to the Motif rack, and that the rack is taking its time to change? Most synths need some time for that, and block incoming MIDI for a while.

hmmn, the only other thing i can suggest is to convert your song to a sequence that worked for me too. uno
