adat optical....helppppppp

Finally got my adat optical card in and dont know how to sync it with my 002 surface or my logic pro 7...when i record i hedre crackling noises. Please help so i can make some more killer music for Cameron, Diplomats Bizzy Bone and more.

you need to hook up an adat cable to both connectors on your mpc. Then you need to set your mpc to recieve word clock from the adat source. Please refer to your manual for where the word clock setting is.

So O need 1 in and 1 out of the mpc?

make sure you have the mp set to "internal" sync and 002 set to ADAT. (i'm not a logic user so it may say something different like external) Make sure the sample rates are the same. also make sure the cables are securely connected.
