Now my AUTOLOAD gives a bad format error while loading!
What the f*ck is the problem with the MPC and the HD ?? Are they not made for eachother?
What gives the "bad format" error? How is this possible as I havent done anything to the rides program and the rides program doesnt have any samples assigned, yet the darn rides program seems to be of a "bad" format, like the mpc likes to say it,... a "bad" format  What the f*ck is a "bad format".

i am using 1.70. I get bad format errors, slow screen redraw, the sequencer cant handle all my midi notes (it stutters) and I had the black screen of death a few days ago while browsing a sample on the internal HD! All on OS 1.70

Is there much of difference between OS 1.60 and 1.70? Cause I think 1.60 is the best stable one. Akai uses OS 1.60 for showing off their MPC4000 anyhow

AKAI is NUMARK now, aswell as ALESIS is NUMARK for a while already, that's what new Russian Distributors of Akai told me

Numark owns Akai.

In July 2004 they took over US Distribution.

In Fall 2004, they purchased Akai Professional itself.

So now Numark OWNS both Alesis and Akai

Wow, sorry, I didn't know that.

Hmm I'm not sure how that is going to pan out :-( Numark aren't up there for me in terms of professionality.

Damn :?

I went back to v1.70, had way too many problems (freezes) in v1.71.
Now in v1.70 I still have problems in the load screen. Sometimes it is no longer refreshed (leaving blank screen behind) and when it's in that state, it also refuses to enter a subdirectory with sounds.

So I'll probably go back to my v1.70 beta, and if that doesn't work, back to v1.60.

Just kidding, I just loved the title of this thread. I'm sure all these bugs will get sorted out. Even the 60 had bugs!

I've been on 1.60 since it came out and I do find it to be the most stable so far. I keep coming here to see if anyone has anythin' positive to say about the NEW O.S, and I think Ikke summed it up best. 1.7 is like Tyrone Biggums.....

my troubles came wit 1.71 so I RELOADED 1.70 so far so good...now I know for sure the white ones had bad hard drives, I had to get a new one when I first got it. I PUT A 120G in it now it's acting right, but stay tuned.
