MPC 400 and an external sequencer

I got it, nevermind

Here is alink to a thread that describes in detail how to set this up on a 2000xl, I cannot figure out how to do it on a 4000.

Any gurus have an idea how to do it?

goto the midi page and disconnect the pads from either the sequencer or sampler... i think....
