Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000

I have a problem when I play a note with 16 tunings on. When I hit a pad and hit another pad while the first pad is still pressed down, if I then release 1 of the pads, all tunes (from that one sound) stop playing. How can I change this? So that the release from a pad doesnt stop another pad thats been played.

Thanks 4000 Crew!

Hi drumtrack.

This is not possible because all tunings are based on the same notenumber and therefor respond to the same note-off message that is being send when either one of the pads are released in 16-levels of tuning mode.

Problem easily solved by creating a keygroup program out of that sample.

yeah but it gets kinda clutery having a bunch of programs that you are only going to use once and or twice and not on a continued basis like one would use a piano flute or string.
I also found that if you switch the sound to a "One Shot" the problem goes away so yes there are was around this. This was my only disappointment in the unit.
