recording Qlink functions

ello! I've been tryin to record long/slow filter sweeps of basslines over four 8-bar sequences via the qlink function. the problem is tho when i play back the seq's in song mode the filter, instead of starting the sweep subbed out and growing gradually, it initially kicks in opened right up for the first few steps of each seq and then reverts to the sequenced settings. so instead of getting a smooth gradual sweep over four separate seq's it keeps jumpin from fully opened for a split second,at the start of each seq ,back to the correct programmed sweep. i have tried the sweep on OFFSET and REPLACE mode (QLINK SET UP page) but it seems to make no difference. (but to be quite honest i dont really understand the difference between the 2!)
