Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000

can this be done i wanna want to sample from diff sound modules and tweak it in the mpc and do somresampling also is there any tutorial that would help i want to try an make instruments more realistic and sound like i sample it but not as much heh :/

yeah its possible.

Although compared to a dedicated synth, it lacks a bit-minor things. But it all depends on how you work it. You can make it sound just as good, even better in my opinion cause your using an mpc!

I recently just sampled the Rom sounds of my triton.......not the patches, but the rom sounds that make up the preset sounds. Im still looping them and making multisamples, but im going to use them to synthesize on the mpc4k. Im going to do this by layering keygroups, using the zone function to layer even more sounds, and crossing midi channels. THis combined with filters, tuning, modulation, envelope, and effects.....youve pretty much got a damn good synth. Its about equivalent to a proteous module. The things that are missing, i dont use much anyways.
