Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000

Hi ther
I'm new to the forum and got few askings about the play mode of my MPC 4000.
I'm working with a 2000 for years now and I recently realized that the PLAY MODE of the 4000 is not working tha same way. I mean if I hit a pad on the 4000 ther's only 3 ways to play sample (one shot, loop, no loop). Concerning a "loop" (a 2 bars loop for example), the mode one shot will play the sample till it stops but if I hit the pad 50 times a second it will play 50x together (sound mayhem!!).
On the other hand the mode "play as sample" on the 4000 will play the sample till I stop hitting the pad means that I need to stop touching the pad stricktly right before the end of the sequence I built.
On the 2000 I have the choice to play a sample in mode POLY (which is equvalent of the ONE SHOT mode in the 4000) but ther's a mode called MONO in the voice overlap section that allows you to play a sample/loop as soon as you hit the pad.
I mean if you hit the pad 1 time, the loop starts and if after 1 measure you play a 2d time it will play it again but there won't be any superposition of loops. It will restart the loop at its start point. You can play 500x the same loop in 10 sec and it will restart 500x the loop without any superposition of sounds. I do not know if I'm really clear but I really wonder if anyone knows if ther's an equivalent mode on the 4000?? Tx in advance... :D

1. Go to program
2. Go to pitch select poly and enter value, say you want a sample to overlap say 3 times before it's muted then just enter 3... piece of cake and i'm not sure but i think it's in the same menu you can set one sample to cut off another
