mpc 4000 + ???????

im new and im going to get an mpc 4000...what is the next piece of equipment i should get? i already have a midi keyboard...should i get a rackmount sampler? if so, which kind?

A rackmount sampler? Hell no that defeats the purpose of having a 4000 it has a rackmount sampler built in to it.I say get a midi keyboard and a fantomXR with expansion boards.

your next piece of equipment is the manual.

you really don't need anything else. If you have to have somthing, get a really good virtual analog synth, clavia, alesis, waldorf, ro land jp8080.

But, honestly, just get the mpc4000, this is all you really need.

do you have a way to put your beats on cd?

What about studio monitors?
