I really wouldn't reccomend it.

The 4000 can read 2000 files, but there are many things that need to be altered in order for them to sound like they did on the 2000 - the biggest of these being any filter and ADSR envelope settings.

The 2000 isn't that bulky to lug around - I mean it fits comfortably into a 1210 (Turntable) flightcase, which is more than can be said for the 4000 (I had to get a custom case made which cost me £120!)

Where about in the UK are you playing, it would be cool to check your tunes out!

jues.
