anyone else having this problem putting samples on pads

Lately with the 1.45 when I try and assign samples to pads (when I have at least 200 or more samples in RAM freshly loaded) I have problems scrolling thru them in PRGM. mode when trying to assign to pads
They just scroll thru the first 20 or so and LOOP to the beginning again..
I cannot get the MPC 4000 to recognize that there are more sounds in RAM unless I first go to sample list page where I can then see them all and load one by one as a last resort which rakes FOREVER
This really sucks
and Akia are unreachable per usual
I can tick them off onto the pads one by one but if I need to scroll to a sample far down the list I'm back to square one again
anyone else notice this?
also the 1.45 DID not fix the LOCK up on sample editing either which is a problem still as well

yeah; it sux dont it! im running the 1.40 o.s and havin the same prob. gutted to hear that it hasnt been fixed. ive wasted an awful lot of time just trying to assign a sample to a pad. havent really found a way round it. sorry man, cant help. come on akai!!!!! this is a fairly basic function flaw.

I think the problem may be with samples that have names longer than 20 characters. The names may show up in ak.Sys, but not on the machine. Try renaming your samples to see if this helps.

I have been having the same problem... all i can do is to go to the sample trim screen and highlight the sounds name, then open the orange window button to give me the option of adding sound to program. This is a real f*cking pain in my ass. I think it is a bug in the akai sys software.

ammended*** I recently just had this happen again this time from a folder of samples loaded from the hard drive. To defeat it I gave the jog dial a quick firm spin untill it fumbled through to the "missing samples" New OS fix maybe?
