Whats going down everyboty

I have an E-MU ultra and I'm wondering if anyone has tried to import E4 samples into the 4000.

Also I'm wondering how I could do it personally -
Meaning - I've got a hard drive full of Banks and Presets/samples in my EMU.

If I took that hard drive and put it into the 4000 would it read them or does the O.S. for the 4000 "format" the drive and wipe it clean.

Any ideas?

Holla bak

I dont think it will recognize the drive because its probably not formatted in the fat32 format? It would be interesting to know so why dont try it? It wont reformat the hd unless you specifically tell it to. The MPC4K can read the EMU 3 & 4 (whatever that means) format so you *should* be ok.

You should ask this question at http://pub52.ezboard.com/fdpsworldfrm5
Its ran buy a guy called Sean W. and he works for akaipro with different products and is always very helpful. He posted a message about him beeing away until the end of the month though, so maybe just go ahead and email akai, who knows, you might get an answer! :P

Believe it or not the EMU hard drive is formatted in FAT32. I was also checking to see if AKAI had implemented the reading of EOS yet. A few months ago they said it would be included but hadnt been added in yet.

I guess I gotta find somebody in S. FLA with a 4k
