layering beatz with a mpc 4000

Well, the manual is a good place to start - albiet a little confusing. Explore the "Program" and "Sample" Screens whilst consulting the manual and things will start to make sense.

It's all about the tracks within the programs.

Like he said learn the prgram and sample features. Make a beat on 1 sequence first and use the track mute to bring in and out different tracks.
