Hey Everyone. A friend dropped of a MPC 4000 last night to the studio. Dont know where or how he got it, but im not the one to look a gift horse in the mouth. Problem, when I turn on the MPC, every light on it comes on, the screen lights up, but nothin from there. He informed me that someone tried to update the operating system and it has not worked since. The computer does not see it via usb. I am at a total loss of what to do. Ive even checked the contrast. Before I box it and take it the the authorized Akai guy hear in my area, does anyone know what is up with this thing? Is there a reset? Lock out option? Anything?!
