getting to grips with my mpc....
i have some suggestions tho:
-sequence merging-create 1 sequence from several.
-sequence independant tracks, linear recording alongside sequences.
-multiple track editing. with track overview display.
-effects as sends via the pots like a mixing console.
-automatic program select when changing pages. i.e. if a program is selected in the main page, it is that program that is automatically selected
when you go to the prog. page.
-level dim in seq. grid edit select. terrible to whiizz thru at full level!
-multiple file copy from ext disk to int hd and vice versa
-audition from HD !!!!!
-auto name increment...1,2,3 etc.
-auto sample to pad assign, 16 selected samples assigned to 16 pads.
handy when they may not require careful planning.
-is there a quick loop on/off shortcut?
-save destination enable, so as to allow saving work without having to hunt for the file each tiime.
-q link file saving available separately, not with the multi.
i do love my new box, but i must admit that some operations are a chore.
i guess it will become more familiar with time, but i have auditioned several audioworksations recently, software/hardware, and my favourite
had everything as clear commands/hard keys which sped everything
up 50 times compared to the others.
i think the m4k is fanatstic but has the potential to be even better if
more care is taken in revising the next os upgrade to do the basic tasks
more efficiently and clearly.
File saving/copying/loading/management.
sample editing with useful functions like cut/copy/paste/merge/crossfade/fade more readily available.
anyway, good luck.
