panning out sounds from records

i have my turntable hooked up directly to the 4000. is it possible to pan out sounds from records with out using a anolog mixer??

In my opinion, its best to use a mixer with your turntable. You can pan, kill hi's mid's and lo's, transform (cut the sound in or out) and amplify your volume louder before recording to the MPC. You can pick one up for under $200 bucks.
