MPC1000 can connect with OSX!! Why not 4000???

I saw in the Japanese Sound & Recording magazine that MPC1000`s HDD was recognized by Mac OSX as the external HDD...You can save and organize everything even without AkSys....

Why!!

Why the hell we pay so much more for MPC4000 and dont get the most demanded basic function on it?

Or is it coming soon?

Can that be changed on the new OS or it will not be possible?

If not then I will be pissed. But all I can do is I guess to cry.

I have never heard any store that ships abroad, dude.

Japanese stores are not too international. They dont even speak English so they are scared of troubles.

If you come to Tokyo, Five G in Harajuku is the place to go. Awesome equipment you have never seen are there.

Well, that's because the MPC1000 don't HAVE a harddrive: it uses Compact Flash cards, just like many digital cameras and similar devices - that's why most Operating Systems will immediately recognize it as a "mass storage device" communicating directly with the drive.

With the MPC4000, which uses a standard IDE harddrive, it's a different story. I believe I recall seeing Dave Whittle or Sean from DPS world mentioning OSX support for AkSys (that is, not in classic mode) coming in the not too distant future, but I can't be sure... So please don't hold it against me.

Anyway, if we are to believe any of David Whittle's latest posts on the Yahoo-mailing list, then it seems things might improve on several matters in the next couple of months. Me, I'll hang on and see what might be coming around the next corner!
