formatting mpc4000 hard drive

Does anyone know how long it takes to format a 80gb hd in the 4000..i'v had mine on for 26 hours and it's not finish..what should i do??

It is taking way too much time. You ought to consider removing the drive and connecting to a PC as a slave drive. The drive could be partitioned that way too. If you decide to do this, then be sure to format it as FAT32.

Heheheh - yeah, 26 hours is a liiiiitle too much ;)

Does the HDD work in the 4ooo? Not all drives are compatible.
