MPC4k....anybody else have this prob?

When I load all the programs/samples I want to work with into memory, I try to go to the main screen and select the part number, and drumset/keygroup that I want.
I can change the part number , but I can not change the program for that part. I know that the programs are loaded into memory, but I can not record anything, because I cant select them. Im still sortof a newbie to the mpc, so I may be overlooking something.........
BTW, this problem seems to happen 50% of the time, for some reason.

Try creating a new Multi after you load the Program/Samples. Probably whats happening is that when your loading your program your choosing to Clear existing multi's and programs so when your program is loaded the multi was cleared which means you have to create a new multi. You can avoid this by loading your Program and choosing to Add to existing memory rather than Clear. Hopefuly thats the problem.

Sorry, a little late on the reply, but yes, that was the problem. All you guys are a big help on here.
I havent been on the internet for a while, caus it kinda took a backseat to the MPC.
The more I learn, the better that box becomes..............
