I need some HELP>>>>

I just finished making a beat and I wanted to transfer it to my computer as a wav file. So I recorded the entirely finished beat in record mode. Using Ak. sys. when I transfer it (save to) the computer, it won't play. Why is that? I keep getting an error message. Can somebody please help me? I want these in my computer so I can shop them via e-mail or up-load them intoi a soundclick account. Thanks....

but it's basically oneof those windows errors when you perform an incorrect function. The weird thing is when I transfer my samples from a sample CD to the computer, they sound fine. But any sample I record in the MPC gives me an error message.

Ok, here's a quick stab in the dark though.

Is the file you recorded 24bit? If it is then Windows Media Player won't play it, but other software will (recycle2, wavelab, cubase, or whatever).




Hopefully that's all it is...

That's it!!! So why won't media player play it? I also tried using real player one and it didn't work. Is there any reason why I can't play at 24 bit?

AFAIK they just aren't made to handle that format. I would just use 16 bit maybe, as ling as you keep the levels hot you won't notice that much of a difference, plus you'll save disk and RAM space that way.

I resampled the beat at 16 bits and I still get the same results. Here is the error I get. It's the windows error when an illegal function has occurred. here are the details:

That's a fairly serious error, have you tried playing it with another app?

I wouldn't use Real Player for anything that I didn't have to either, it comes with loads of silly piggy-back-ware and stuff as well.

I got rid of Real Player and it works fine now on media player. I didn't realize real player was so corrupted. Thanks again....
