hey guys what should be the ideal MPC for you?for me it has to read all formats, to have an efficient OS, 512 Mb memory...and, for you...?

I think the mpc's are fine but having a update to the asq10 would be awesome! just miniaturize the unit and add drum pads, note reapeat, at least a 50 pattern arpeggiator, and 8 progammable sliders.

umm, portable multitimbral sampler drum machine with 16 pads and some internal fully tweakable bass and drum sounds with 24 bit effects... in chrome ofcourse

Lo fi effects and a FireWire port or two would be great.

multitrimbral means that your sound module or keyboard can respond to mutiple midi channels at once. For example you can have piano sounds on midi channel 1, drums on channel 10, analog sounds on 5, coming from one sound module. oh yeah the term multitimbral refers to any midi instrument in general. Being able to play sound on the 16 pads is an polyphony issue.

16 outputs, artificial intelligence quantising, 640x480 color screen, really good rom sounds, firewire, 4 midi in's.

say, I thought there were a "function" (as I don't really knowwhat it is) on the Mpc 4000 making 16 or 24 bit-96-48khz-44khz sounds into 8 or 12 bit 20 khZ sounds ?
doesn't it fit for making low fi sound ?

Not really because the width is only one of the things that has to be modified. Just changing that alone isn't going to give you the gritty sound like one hears on older equipment. As I recall, the MV can get down to 1 bit, but I would have to review that feature again, as I have not used it yet. The MV has also has a dedicated effect for lo-fi. Parameters can be modified to change the sound characteristics.

yeah mpcvore you're absolutely right I wonder what would be ther correct email address to write to? I wonder will they respond to email filled with a list of dreams or would it be better if I start a petition for the coming out with a new version of the asq10.
