Question about sampleing

IM looking to re-do keith sweat - twisted, for a mix CD im working on, just wanted to doubble up the beats so i can mix it in with my ghetto tek. im only doing the chorus. Should i sample the whole chours into my mpc4k? or just 4 bars so i can get the timing right to write the drum loop? and then send it over to my PC and use cubase to arrange it?
