Since I installed 1.50, the sequencer has been buggin out. It won't play sounds on beat. When I hit the pad, it delays , or simply just won't play it when I hit it.

Please don't say this! I installed OS 1.5 only a few minutes ago. I had to wait until the day's work was done before I could take any risk. So far everything seems OK. I loaded old sequences and made a couple new ones without any trouble.

Mine was working for the 1st 20 minutes, then it started trippin'. I'm about to turn it off and turn it back on.

I aint even gonna try puttin 1.5 on yet. It's so painfully obvious that Akai "rushed" the release of 1.5 because of the MV. I don't know how much time they needed, they had enough to design a whole new system.

Akai, you suck! You are losing your constinuency.

AKAI released the update prematurely because of the loud complaints on Yahoo! The group descended into chaos with its members screaming at AKAI. They were upset over the latest news that OS 1.5 would not be delivered in early December as promised. As the month went on the group members felt betrayed.

Eight months of waiting and now a buggy OS. When you consider the MPC1000 also has bugs this looks bad for AKAI. They are involved in a support and public relations nightmare, and THAT is what will drive customers to the MV. In the near future you will be reading posts from MV owners saying, "I heard there were bugs in the 1000 and 4000 so I thought I would give the MV-8000 a try."

The day of reckoning is at hand. We are watching history being made. AKAI is alienating their customer base. Unfortunately, the MPC reputation has been tarnished by this mess. Everyone was forgiving with the coming of the MPC1000 and OS 1.5 for the MPC4000. The customer sentiment changed quickly.

I installed 1.5 about 2 hours ago and have had no problems at all,
In fact ive noticed a few major improvments eg: on screen parameters are a lot more responsive in the mxer section, no more waiting for the mpc to catch up with your q link movements,
The new mixer is so much more efficient with the fx send field.
I do most of my triggering of roland drum pads.....No problems there, although I must say ive only had the thing for a week so im not driving it too hard.......yet! and for me audition from disk cant come soon enough

Overpromise and underdeliver. This seems to be AKAI's mandate these days. If only they didn't rush the update...the brand loyalty was always there.

Peace.

Stick w/ 1.45 for now.

turn on sync and put it to out a or so and yoru eyes will fly open ;)

Yeah that's for sure. I turned off sync and disconnected the MIDI cables before upgrading to avoid any corruption or a locked up MPC. After I put everything back the troubles began. I have reverted to version 1.45. AKAI had months to work on these issues. It looks as if they gave the specs to another third party developer who wrote the new code without actually testing it afterward. AKAI themselves must have not tested it either. They released it as is. Unbelievable.

I upgrade to the 1.5 but I haven't seen any problem (yet!).The drum pad mixer is useful and I record some automation pans/fades/fx and the Qlinks are actin' good. But let's be true,Akai's stoppin' supporting us day by day.Let's pray that the next OS with the audition feature will be out before 2020!
