please i need help with a usb keyboard.....

i bought a usb keyboard to use on my mpc like as my midi controller instead of using the midi in to record notes. How do i configure the mpc so that it will recognize the keyboard and allow me to input into the mpc?
i also have an old kprg 05r synth that i want to use the sounds from it into my mpc. I have the midi out on the mpc going to the synth module and the stereo cables going back into my mpc but i get no response. Could anyone tell me how to set up my mpc so that a) it will recognize my usb keyboard and b)i can use the sounds on my synth module

Sooner or later you will arrive at the conclusion that you need a midi controller with a midi in and out

Until then you will keep struggling, whoever sold you the usb controller should be slapped

the front usb port is for a qwerty keyboard dude
