MPC 4000 and os x

Am I able to use the AKS program (drum editor) in os x or do i have to wait to make the transition. I'm using everything in os x now (pro tools) and would love it if the mpc 4000 will work as well. If not, when do you think it will be available. Last question should I jump to 1.50 im currently in 1.40 I avoided 1.45 I took the approach if it aint broke don't fix it. I know there are new features in 1.50 that i love but what's your take

Hi,
I don't have an MPC 4000 yet but I'll still try to help you, until someone more experienced takes time to formumlate a reply.
As far as I know, the OS 1.5 is quite bugged and I would recommend you to wait for another OS release who should (may the high spirits hear me on this one) be flawless. From what I heard, this new release should be available in about a month or so (once again, this is not 100% sure ish).

there is no aksys support yet for osx on a mac, under nine it works flawlessly! akai will soon upgrade this I belive...
