which 4000 to buy. and at what price?

even with all the negative reviews of the 4000 i still want one. is there a newer model coming out soon? should i wait? if not which 4000 is the one to get? and where can i find the best price? any angry 4000 owners go ahead and try to persuade me otherwise and happy 4000 owner please tell me why you are pleased. or should i scrap all these thoughts and just keep the 2000xl? this thread may have been beat to death allready but i keep hearing new things about the 4000 so.....

i've had a mpc 60II and 3000, the akai mpc 4000 is the best thing out. save yourself a headache and get the plus, i got an l.e. and it wuz a hassle to install a drive and memory

Go for the 4000 and try to keep your xl.These two chicks make great work together!!
