Hi, I would just like to use the MPC4000 in place of the triton which I no longer have since I was borrowing it. I loved the fact that the triton had so many usable sounds for all styles of music, and that you could audition and use them immediately w/o loading time. I like to work fairly quickly when I get inspired and this loading thing is thwarting my creativity. I'm really sorry that I have so many questions but I don't want to have to buy another triton if I don't have to.
Is there a way(organizational techniques, tips, etc.) to make my MPC more efficient that I'm just not quite understanding? I do all styles, and it seems that sample CD's come separated by instrument. So is everyone w/ an MPC just buying, one CD-rom for each instrument?
I wonder if I need to spend another thousand or so on libraries of sounds to make it as versatile as the triton? I bought SampleTank 2 and although the samples are sounding great, the software is instable crap not intended for professional use. The cool thing is that they give you over 4 gigs of good samples all for $300. Is it possible to get (for the MPC)a sound library with USABLE AND DIVERSE instruments for a reasonable price?
I see a lot of you die hard MPC4000 users in this forum, any words of advice would be greatly appreciated. I just really want a pallette of sounds at my fingertips if you know what I'm talking about. Thanks.
