playing loops in a sequence...mine aint working..plz help

I make samples, trim them and get them in the right BPM. The sample playback is set at Loop mode

I assign the sample to a program /pad

I start recording a sequence and hold the pad down...the "loop" doesnt loop..it just stops after one play.

I've set the loop to play in loop mode in the sample screen

I've set the sample to play in loop mode from the zone screen

What am I doing wrong??

Also, how do you make the loop stop when you release the pad??

It's a zone key function I was overlooking..
