I just got delivered today a set of 256mb dimms that Feline1 had sourced from crucial.

You all we be pleased to hear that they work fine (for now - lol)
They are a bit of a bugger to get in and as Mpc-tutor said, if not in just right they wont work!
There is a metal lever at each end of the memory holder. I found it easiet to press these down to reset the release mechanism before insertion. (An obious point but do check that they are aligned correctly!)
A gentle press at each end should result in a clicking sound, thats one click for each end of each Dimm. (4 clicks total).
If the 4k dosnt find them, take em out - reset the levers and try again. (It took me three attempts)
So thats me Mpc with 512meg for £55.. Bonus :D
