4k program and sequences

First off Peace to everyone in the 4k section of the forum.........

I dont own a 4k but would just like to know.........If I made a beat on this monster.......and took the disk home could I load it into the 2kxl????

best thing to do would be to resample it and then load it up the xl as a .wav and then get busy with the chops filters ect .. but why on earth would one want to go 4k to 2k : ..

Because the 4k is still at the store and the 2kxl is at his house......

So what you are saying is no.......I can not make a beat on the 4k and save it to a floppy......and then load it into the 2kxl..........the 4k is at my cousins place and I just wanted to know

Hey phatz, i read on another forum that usb floppy drives work with the 4000 and is backwards compatable with most of the previous mps (pls correct if im wrong people theres known bugs with loading mpc4000 data to mpc3000),..........................................or just use a scsi zip drive or jazz drive .................................should be easy 2 do,just select the connected device in the load or save page.....................................

no man .. I was saying yes you can do it ... geez .. the 4k resamples itself internally.. the save on zip if its to large to fit on floppy

Let me clear it up.......Resample deals with the art of sampling.......I am not sampling.......He owns the same xp80 like I do.......so its all keyboard.....I havent added the drums to it yet, and was gonna do that at my spot.......so the proper question would be.......If I created a sequence on the Mpc4000 midied to the Xp80........could I save it on a floppy disk and then take it hame and load it in to my Mpc 2000xl midied to my xp80??? Will the 2kxl read a 4k sequence
