I recently played around with the 4000 at Gitar Center, and was pretty impresed. Can I adjust the pitch on a sound, while I record it in real time.... using the fader?

I hope the question isn't to hard to understand... I'm pretty new at this...

I have also found that, over all I can get the 4000 for about
$2000.00  on the average. I am almost there.... would anyone say that is about the same price I would pay after getting the 2kxl after it's fully loaded with 8 out zip the whole 9... just wondering...... I have been debating the 2 for 5 months while saving money... anyway I am out thanks.

Hiya,

You can download a set of manual's off the Akai website @

http://www.akaipro.com/

I think Im right in saying that u can do such things with the faders. I havnt tried it yet myself.

I would get the manual's before you buy, just to make sure it does what you need it too.....

you can use the knobs and sliders to automate pretty much anything in a program, a whole program or a part there of.
it's excellent.the movements of the knobs are stored as an event for editing or you can use a 16 step Q-links sequence to rhythmically change these parameters.
