Sound editing software to use with AkSys [Mac]?

Just wondering what people are using out there for editing sounds through AkSys (v2.6)? Im look for something that is simple with a clean interface. I'd also like to have time streching/compressing with a find tempo function if possible. I'd like to keep everything in one application to simplify the setup. I've been working with SoundDesigner II for many years, and would like something that functions similarly but works with OSX.

i use pro tools for that . do you know where I can get the pad editor

Aksys has Pad Editor function.
Just right click on MPC4000 icon on Aksys and choose Pad editor.

I use Peak 4. It's wicked for editing samples, sampling through a hardware interface and mastering mixdowns. Full transfer back and forth with ak.sys 2.6.

I use PEak and Recycle both great programs!!

with the new version of aksys running on panther i cant import straight into protools.when i try 2 choose a sample editor the protools app comes up in the finder as a document. and it dont work


when i look in my desktop it comes up as a application this ony happens with protools and aksys.
it works fine with other apps and i can import to my desktop but it would be nice to be able to do it with pt6 ,anyone ?

I don't see any mpc 4000 icon to click on I'm beginning to think I have the wrong editor aksys v2.53
