Really need help!!

Guys, I've googled, searched, read manual, and e-mailed akai but can't figure out why my CD ROM on my MPC 4000 will not read any CD. When I go to load it says Empty Drive and is CD/RW is listed as INTERNAL. I tried recording from CD player but nothing.... I tried re-installing 1.71 OS and nothing.... What should I do guys. I am very frustrated because there are so many CD's I want to sample and trim. I reallly appreciate it guys!!

Maybe the cd drive itself is bad, do you have another compatible one to test out?

Maybe the data cables are not connected properly?

and until you figure it out, you could use your computer to sample any cd's that you want
and transfer them over via Ak.Sys...
