OT - This could have a HUGE effect on recording music

I came across this today & thought I'd share it with everyone. It seems to me that everything recorded could be edited unlike anything else that's available now. This could create a whole new job in a studio...

Beats, instruments, vocals, every part of a song being changed around to fit the taste of the one making the edits - scary

Only 8 days old - lol would have been embarrassing if it were a 2 year old post. Didn't see his post 'cause I usually am just on the MPC4000 index.

funny, but I find it a bit depressing. Of course it can have creative uses, especially for samplists. But this is going to make it even easier and cheaper to make really bad, fake music

true, but i'm hoping this will help me break down some of the more exotic stuff that i have always struggled with, so i can understand it more.

True - this could not only be used as a creative tool, but also a tool for learning. In the end, regardless of the instrument/program used, it's up to the person using it to be creative and get the most out of it.

Example: Give some people anything from a MPC60 to a MPC4000 and it could be as useful as a paperweight. It's all a matter of the skill/ability of the user.
