Track Mute Group

Is there any way way to mute groups of tracks?

Not wtih the 4k itself. The suggestion was made to both Old Akai and NuAkai several years ago, and it was thought the suggestion was disregarded until it was seen implemented into the MPC 5000. So, it was something requested for but not fulfilled in the 4000 Platform.


It's not evepossible to do this via Sysex, even if you have a Sysex controller
that can send Multiple Sysex messages with 1 button press. Because
the Sysex was taken mainly from the Z4/Z8 and doesn't have any Sequencer type abilities. You can do Part Mute's so you could do Group Part Mute's with Sysex, but not with Track Mute's.
