Brought 4000 back to G.C

Had it a week mon true fri didn't spend much time on it but every thing was good till yesterday. I started to make a track and it fatal error on me I also couldn't get the effects to work either but when I turned it back on the effects started to work then it froze up.I did a search and found out that you might have to make shure all connections are all properley secure but when I opened it up there was a black soot inside over the effect board it didnt smell but I seen enough and took it back. I was sad to see it go the 4k is a monster. I told G.C if they take care of it I'll pick it up, but you know what there gonna do. I thought something was funny when they sold it to me $500 cheeper than there price that means they got it real cheep so somebody knew what was up when they got rid of it. I'm not mad I got to take the 4k for a test drive and was very impressed.

So...you opened the mpc, voided the warranty, did no damage I took it back.

Okay...

Now the GC salespeople will sell it to someone then claim it was never opened and it
must be the purchaser's fault it doesn't work.

I'm not saying you did anything to it. I'm just following the exchange of hands the mpc went through, not counting who actually blew the board out.

The 4k was used you think Akai would have fixed it? I got a good deal I wasn't going to take it back with out knowing if it were a loose connection,plus i'm not like that not everyone from Chicago is getto I know I make hip hop but I'm the one that always gets the wrong end of the stick. Maybe I should have kept it, fixed it, then got the 8 outs and the spdif I needed. I didn't want to take it back but I am glad it didn't take more than 30 days to find out. If you work for a dealer let me know if you get a 4k that's good for a decent price. I'll be looking out for one meanwhile.
