OS Loader stuck at Waiting to Begin Upload phase???

hey yall, just got my 4k and im trying to update to os 1.51 but every time i try to load the os with osloader it gets stuck at the first state the window pops up in...

im using winxp home and have installed the usb drivers for the 4k already, have them both on and connected with the usb cable... whats the deal?

Silly question but you have loaded the usb driver supplied by akai havent you? If not you are in a world of hurt. Although intended for Aksys I'm sure it uses this driver for all comms between OS and 4k. Also dont forget tohave the 4k turned on and the usb cable connected before booting xp. I know it sounds crazy but sometimes usb can be a bit prone to loading issuesandthe driver not loading correctly.

yeah i was doin that all correctly, i ended up putting the driver on my USB zip drive though and loading it thru the load menu on the mpc. thanks.
