I doubt it. It would be nice, but from what I'm understanding, is that
they are looking to do specifically bug fixes. MPC1K compatibility
was never promised by Akai, so wouldn't be considered a bug. It would
be considered an RFE (Request For Enhancement), as it would provide
new functionality that was never there and that was never promised.

It wouldn't hurt to send the request to Boele (scd) so that it gets
entered officially into the 4000 Bug Database, but I don' tknow if they
will do it, even thought it would probably take about 3 tweaks of code
to allow it....

Cheers,
Dave

Oh really! I've NEVER had a problem with my Blue MPC4000 plus... but I bought it new & it hasn't left my studio. I highly doubt Bruce Forat ever said that. Maybe your just trying to unload an older white one

I had one of the white ones about 2 years ago, came up on some hard times and had to sell it. Now I have one of the blue ones I bought on ebay, and never had a problem with it at all. In fact, I have NEVER had any problems with the 4k.

...and I hope that by saying that now I haven't jinxed myself.....crap.

I didnt say every blue 4000 is defective, but what was said that there last batch of faulty blue 4000's floating around.

day after I got back from L.A I saw a blue 4000 on ebay, dude wanted $999 buy it now price for it. it the description of it said that he ran it recording for 24 hours and some type of system error came up.

and it's not Bruce Forat get your facts straight, Bruce is a technican at akai service center called Forat. seeing how ingnorant and uninformed you are, your opinion doesnt bring anything valuable to the table.
