auditioning samples before loading them? & TC question

im assuming there is a way to audition samples before loading them into the banks, and ive tried to find it but its a wiley and elusive beast, any help would be great.

while im at it is there a way to apply timing correct to the midi events when your tappin em out on the pads or only after recording them are you able to have the TC applied on playback?

no audition from harddrive...only hear whats in memory...t.c only occurs after notes are laid...only time u hear t.c. as u play is with latching note repeat(mostly for hats or rolling certain sounds)
