start sampling via play button

Is there a quick/easy way to start sampling from the playstart button?

I wish there was!!!! Man, pressing that F6 button is so hard to use when you want to start recording.

It would just be nice to be able to resample from external gear being sequenced by the MPC without having to use the record threshold, then go in an fine tune the sample start point, then cut the proper loop point manually......

It would be great to be able to set a record length in bars/beats, then fire off the recording and sequencer with the same button, at the same time.


I have no problem hitting F6, I would just like to kindly ask for it to start the sequencer as well

can be done with a midi triggger its in the hints and tips somewhere record a midi note in sequencer and the use that as the trigger to start recording.
Do a search for midi note trigger recording something like that its in one of the stickies at the top of the forum.
