Sup all
my bro just orderd a mpc4000 without ANY options.
when i bought mine with the hd installed, the audio/dig/power cable for the cd were inside the unit.with a ribbon cable chained off the PCI board >hd> cdr i installed later.
My Qs are the all the cables for the HD And CdR included in the base unit when bought with no hd and cd?
And what make/spped HD drive should i use?
and does it need to be formated in a pc first?
Nice one ,

the wires will be inside the machine tuck away...you can use a ata drive..and the mpc will format the drive (use full format not quick)...

I just got an LE the other day. There was a separate bag of wires and mounting brackets in the box. I haven't opened it yet to see if there are any additional cables inside the unit. I'm sure everything will be there though.

It makes no sense to buy the 4000 Plus, unless you are deathly afraid of computers....

$1800 LE
$250 CD-RW drive, 120 gig hard drive, 256 MB of MPC4000 RAM
=$2050

or you can spend another $500 dollars to buy the Plus unit and get a hard drive half the size.

I had gotten it at zzounds.com. But I just checked and it looks like they don't have any left.

there sold out try guitar center i got mines from there in nc for 1599. close out to make room for the blue last one though now there back to 2200-3200.. the le version is not in production anymore the ones u find are stock left overs... people were buying more of them and doing those cheaper self upgrades akai had to put a stop to that
