how can i make one sound mute another???

You know..the closed hi-hat/open hi-hat type.I see the mute groups but i really can't understand how this thing is working.Any help will be extremely appreciated.Thanks,peace.

If two or more sounds belong to the same mute group, these sounds will cancel each other. So simply assign the same mute group number to both the open and closed hihat sample, and that should do it.
