I hope that this is the right forum for this news.

The Seattle Progressive Rock Festival is coming back to life after a two year hiatus.

Check out for details

It may not be the first kind of music that you think of seeing, but you will see phenomenal musicianship, meet some very interesting people with deep connections, and get to meet the cool folks close and personal. No artists will be airlifted out by chopper.

Highly recommended experience, if you can swing it.

Disclaimer: I'm not affiliated, it's not my gig, I'm not playing, and I don't stand to profit.

Thank you for sharing. Ive seen the Portland scene but meaning to get up to seattle. Like you, I am particularly interested in events where “No artists will be airlifted out by chopper”

I think we should start a chat for events like this that cater to beat life. I will follow up sometime this week with a new thread.

They're pretty serious about it. I've been there a couple of times. I've thrown up the horns to Dust Mice (Seattle's best kept rock secret), I've grooved to Cabezas de Cera and I've eaten Nik Turner's 70th birthday cake. I've rubbed shoulders with Johnny Unicorn at the bar afterwards, and congratulated Upwell on In through the Outro.

I mean it - even if it's not your first scene of choice, it's a hell of a chance to meet some very cool people, and in some cases very connected. I've met all sorts from radio DJs to sound designers to producers behind some of the biggest names in the Seattle music scene there. Who knows, if you have a compatible arm to your music, you might even get to gig at a future seaprog?

I will def add it to my travel list. I get bored of hip hop that sounds all the same. I often go deep down the “indie rabbit hole” before I come up with some real good hip hop. Far from my favorite KL album, I appreciate his effort in 2022 to try something new. ... W&index=17 ... W&index=18

I haven’t doing music lately b/c i’m in the middle of a major move.
Lately, i’ve been listening to Heilung for inspiration. I may actually cop an album for some samples
