Naming a company: Productions, Entertainment, or Records

I want to build a website and use the name of the company as the domain. I was wondering what ending should i go with: Productions (Mellow Productions), Entertainment (Mellow Entertainment) or Records (Mellow Records). "Mellow" is not the actual name of the company, just an example. But what would be more appropriate. I'm the only artist. I produce, rap and record my own stuff. I have some people behind me that help promote me and handles business. So what category would that fall under.

Any input would be great.

What kind of company is it? Production? Record Label? Other? Think about it and it shouldn't be that hard.

How about none of those, They all sound the same. blah blah inc, or records - Ent

Try something new like just mellow (or what ever the name is) otherwise your just gonna be like all the rest and not stand out.

or... maybe you should put something behind the name just so people know what the hell you are.
if i see just mellow in the fone book i'ma think it's a headshop ro some lounge. But then again, that's just me

It doesn't matter really. What are you doing? Production only? Then you can have a DBA name with the ending of Production. Entertainment is more broader and you could use that name for a variety of reasons. Your name is not really important as if it is used, if you have a unique crafty name then you SHOULD not share it until you register it. Most names are very unique hence "Chad Hugo-Chase Chad Productions", get the idea?

Or you could register all 3 so people dont take it just an idea!

I would do records. Mellow records.

Entertainment sounds too blingy. Inc sounds too fake ganster. Productions doesnt ring a bell with non musical people (average audience)

What about Mellow Music, Mellow Concepts, Mellow Soundworks, etc.

Just like with your beats, get C-R-E-A-T-I-V-E! (Mellow Creations?)

i like "Mellow" thats it maybe Mellow Inc. or something that describes your music like Mellow Funk or Mellow Beats

Whatever you decide, make sure that you get your tradename registered before you build your web site. Also a lot of times the name that you want to use is already taken, so I would think about alternate names for the site.

It's good to brainstorm with people...but don't be gimmicky. Just be you.
