Anyone interested in giving me some tips on making beat tapes? (Recording process, song structure, number of beats per tape/CD, etc.)

As far as recording I would be in a DJ state of mind.Tell me if you dont get what I mean.I would put an unlimited amount because of course going to be your hottest beatz. In all of the patterns or whatever (beatz) involve a switch up,for example new instrument burst in after a certain amount of time.

I mean the ''switchup'' between songs except you would be recording songs.

OOOMMMMGGGG, LMAO!!!!!!!!

Got me crying over here.

I didn't get it either, but when I scrolled down to "nope" I busted out laughing, that's hilarious.

Damn J, that's a good try man, but you confuse the issue more than you helped with that one big dog.

G, you can record your songs like you normally do. Record also a few interludes, breaks, 30 second, 1 minute intervals and plce them between songs to lead up into the next if you like.

I use vegas for blending all the songs together. I can crossfade out/in and between the different songs AND I can place my track number anywhere I like so when I finally do burn the CD my track number fall exactly where I placed them to fall inside Vegas.

CD architect on the sony medi page does that also. Me, I have done that before with those peices of sofware.

Thanks Lamp :)

I think I'm going to get Vegas ASAP.

Any other tips/software recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
