If u can afford to clear the sample yourself then do so, that way you can charge thru the roof and they (A&R's) can't run that line about they won't clear the sample. Don't be scared to sample cuz you never know what it might cost.

Mostly the artist/label. But if the clearance cost isn't too much try paying yourself then charge more for the track. This way you can this get paid for publishing.

if you can afford to pay it, you will get more of a cut on the back end becuase now you whole all the trump cards

i wonder how some ppl get away without gettin caught and some ppl get slammed. i don't wanna bring out anyone by namin names but they'll sample noticable stuff and i no they don't pay for samples

I AGREE TO THE FULLEST!!!
sometimes tho you wanna keep that original feeling from a loop tho. I just know some ppl get away with it and some ppl get got for it.

I now am looking for really off the wall sounds. I want to come up with a nice little unique sound. Just find you near used LP store and search through everything from 1900-1980 hehe, its not that bad that we need to touch the 90s yet, agreed?
