What about giving beats away?

I agree- this is a cool thread...

I don't make music to get rich and famous, but because it's what I love to do. Never really thought "Oh, I'm gonna get so and so on my music" but then after getting a few interested emcees lined up, I started to think about it more and more.

Sure enough, I came across one fairly well known emcee who dug my stuff- he and I hit it off and soon as you know it- we're working on an ep.

Flags shoulda've been going off right away that it would never be completed. His myspace page was still showing "New Album dropping Sept. 2009"

Didn't think much of it at the time, but sure enough- he went from making moves (which was why I was giving him free beats) to doing jack shit. He completely went ghost and I haven't talked to him in over a year...doesn't matter though, he could call up today and I'd tell him to get lost-

Point is, you have to pick who you create music with carefully...don't get caught up in who's doing what.

word yo ive been thru that countless times plus im so bored with rap its killing or children and defiling or women and braniwashing us its nthoing but destruction so im on my flying lotus j dilla madlib dj shadow tip for now str8 instrumental or female vocalists or male of it sounds right anyway MPCs records DJS ALL day EMcees ur mostly just sociopatheic attention seekin ego bursting outta control insecure jerks with no skill and cant offer a musical conncection to another human soul kids just think there "feeling there "sick flows" cause theyve been brainwashed and like to also be accepted EGO and pride are dangerous

I agree 100% When Im driving in my car with my wife and she hears a new song she likes.... I keep telling her I want to write my own one hit wonder song and sell a s#@t load on iTunes. LOL
